Jim Marcus
Jim Marcus began as a Musician and Artist in the early days of the Chicago Industrial scene in the mid-80s where he helped define the design genre of grunge by developing over 100 commercially available typefaces through type foundries like T26 and Agfa.
As a session musician and producer, he was prolific in the formative house and electronic music scenes and eventually went on to found Die Warzau, a seminal early industrial dance group that popularized mixing aggressive dance beats with found noise and defiant songwriting.
He worked with bands like Sister Machine Gun, Pigface, The Swans, and many others over the intervening decades, eventually forming Pulseblack, an uncensored Record Label and publishing company. His current band Go Fight, is still active in the modern industrial scene and has produced a prolific number of records in the last ten years.
As a political activist and commentator, he wrote for a number of magazines and has now released a series of books. From shorts stories across all genres to in depth pieces of Sci-Fi and fantasy worldbuilding, his work is uncensored, frequently featuring complex political themes as well as transgressive sexuality and cultural models.
