Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a "book with files"?
The book limits (1 for Free, 3 for Starter, unlimited for Pro) apply only to books with uploaded PDF or EPUB files. You can claim unlimited books without files to display on your author profile for readers to see your complete bibliography. This way, you can showcase all your works while managing storage limits for distributable files.
Can I change plans anytime?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When you upgrade, you'll get immediate access to new features. When you downgrade, your excess content will be archived (not deleted) until you upgrade again.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your oldest books and campaigns beyond the new tier's limits will be archived, not deleted. You can still see them in your dashboard, and they'll be restored when you upgrade. Profile customizations are locked but preserved.
What counts as a "download"?
Each unique reader who downloads or accesses your book (either as a file download or in-browser reading) counts as one download. If the same reader accesses your book multiple times, it still only counts as one download.
How do featured campaigns work?
Featured campaigns appear in the spotlight section on the homepage for 3 days. Starter gets 1 slot per month, Pro gets 2. You choose the dates in advance. Unused slots don't roll over.
Is reader access always free?
Absolutely. Readers can browse books, sign up for ARCs, provide feedback, and customize their profiles completely free of charge.
