Maxwell hails from the undiscovered country–a fluid past continually morphing into an eternal present, a nexus in time where ancient artifacts and imagined futures remain the buried treasures of childlike minds.
Consumed with reading and writing from an early age, Maxwell used his other passions– skateboarding, guitars, movies, video games, martial arts, and acting–as fodder for his narratives and poetry, often exploring the infinitesimal eternities tucked away within settings and characters.
After earning a BA in English and dual minors in philosophy and theatre, Maxwell went on to teach English for the next 33 years. He holds an MA in American and British Literature, an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction, and has completed all his coursework toward a PhD in Literature and Criticism. Over the years, Maxwell has published articles, poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction with his most recent tiki-noir stories appearing in Exotica Moderne Magazine.
