Descension

Azazel, a once powerful warrior of the Lord's Army, has been imprisoned for thousands of years for his part in the events before the great flood. When he is freed mysteriously, his rage becomes an unquenchable thirst for violence.
The news of Azazel's escape disrupts the very fabric of Archangel Gabriel and Michael's confidence in their kind. Azazel was sealed inside his prison by an angel, which means that only an angel could have set him free. There must be one among them that has betrayed God's command. Now that he is free; they must find a way to stop Azazel before he can deliver his own twisted justice among all of creation.

Meanwhile, on earth; Joshua Devlin is a mid-forties widower who has begun to put his life back together after tragedy. He lives each day in search of an established routine. He struggles with his grief, and now must face a new problem. An odd encounter with two suspicious characters starts Joshua down a mysterious path of no return. One that may very well determine the fate of all of humanity.
