This was a quick, refreshing read as it was both fun and entertaining, a tasty snack in between literary meals!

I've read Carly's work before so I knew to expect an exciting and creepy story but the heartfelt aspect of it took me by surprise. This was a really good story.

As soon as I opened this book and page one enticed me in to this haunting paranormal thriller I was hooked.
A spooky fast-paced short story that fills the reader with emotions of sadness over the disturbing events that took place several years before.

Derby City Paranormal Investigations have been looking into paranormal activities for years, some easily explained, others have ghostly happenings

They happen upon Hillcrest Sanatorium, long since closed down and a dilapidated building, they just might be in luck in finding a haunting.
Brooke and her team,Mandy and Jed have their equipment all set up ready, when out of nowhere a ball appears and rolling across a room that seems to be directing them to certain places within the building.
Through the lens of a camera, an apparition of a very distressed looking young girl appears and is pointing to parts of the building, something's there they cannot see. She leads them to some old paperwork, and ledgers that ahow fraudulent activity and suspicious deaths, the dead are no longer silent and calling for the team to help in unlocking the dark truth of fraud and many deaths.

Sealed In Silence is a brilliant written disturbing horror by Carly Black, that captured me with an amazing intensity.

An emotional dark thriller that will have you hooked from page one. Paranormal entities do not go away after their unfinished business is completed, they linger until the right time. Carly Black is an amazing author and you do not want to miss out on this!

If you like buried secrets and the paranormal this is the book for you. Short story face paced read. I may have shed a tear at the end but was such a good read!

This short story is definitely a page Turner and the attention to detail drops you right into the middle of the investigation. When a simple routine investigation of a Sanatorium turns into uncovering heartbreaking secret and making a new friend along the way. Truly great read and perfect for anyone that likes anything to do with paranormal. Also loved the names of the characters!

Sealed in Silence is a quick little read. Don't let that fool you because it is packed with tense and thrilling scenes and also punches you in the gut with emotions.

This was an excellent short story. It left me wanting more of their adventures. Mandy, Jed and Brooke are investigators for the paranormal and they are investigating an old hospital.

They connect with a “spirit” of a little girl who is trying to help them find out the corrupt things she had happened there. They end up finding a lot of corrupt things that happened there and had reported it to the police so finally some families can get justice.

I’ve read several stories in this book and they’re all amazing

Thank you inside story and the author for a copy of this book. This short story really got to me. I might have even teared up a little bit there towards the end. It was so good.

It was eerie. If you love ghosts, you’ll love this. But most of all, you will love the story behind it. It was the most emotional horror story I’ve ever read and I would say that this was my new favorite. I cried, and I cried a lot. It will leave you speechless after you have read this.

For a short story, this one sure packs a punch! As the story unfolds, I found myself right in the middle of the chaos with Brooke and her friends. I wanted to solve it as badly as they did!

If you’re looking for a chilling tale that creeps up your spine and whispers “just one more page,” look no further!

This short story was addictive. The moment Brook , Mandy and Jed stepped onto Hillcrest Sanatorium’s third-floor corridor they made their first contact with Opal . Opal was one of the many trapped souls that were hidden away Hillcrest. The ending was emotional and satisfying.

I loved this short story. I do not usually like paranormal stories but I feel this one was done so well. I couldnt stop reading. Great story!
