When Mountains Crumble
Claudine DiScalaMorally Grey CharacterUnreliable NarratorRedemption Arc
Faith Ansley is running a successful P.I. firm firm when tragedy hits—the death of her husband under suspicious circumstances.
Then the letters arrive. Unsigned. Intimate. Dredging up a life she left behind... and a love she never truly escaped.
So Faith does what she does best. But the deeper she digs, the more the lines blur. Who’s reaching out to her, and why now? A grieving admirer, an investigative target taunting her, or something far more personal?
Because the voice in those letters—it knows her and what happened back then. Memories resurface and questions return—dragging with them the quiet guilt of choices she hoped would stay buried.
Some things never let go.
Some letters shouldn’t be read.
And some pasts... aren’t buried at all.

About the Author
My award-winning short fiction grew out of a lifetime of collecting stories—first with a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, then during my twenty years as a licensed private investigator in New York, where I ran my own female-owned PI firm.
My debut When Mountains Crumble is a psychological suspense that explores memory, obsession, consequences and loss. I grew up loving titles like Flowers in the Attic and draw inspiration from writers who explore the darker side of human nature. I live in Southern Utah with my husband, two kids, and two dogs.
