One choice can save your life. One choice can cost your soul.
Olivia Sinclair never asked for sanctuary in the North Tower, and she certainly didn't ask for the infection humming in her marrow. Trapped in a world of cold stone and leaden secrets, she is a vibrant spark in a place designed to snuff her out.
As the Vesperthorns close in and the lines between "God" and "Monster" are rubbed raw, Olivia must navigate the predatory darkness of those who claim to be her protectors. While a hidden evil weaves a web of stolen light around her, she realizes the greatest battle isn't against the infection—it’s against the loss of her own humanity.
In a world where goodness is a liability, Olivia must decide if her morals are worth the price of her freedom.
A haunting gothic tale of alchemy, moral courage, and the savage cost of a peaceful life.

The shadow, the predator, the monster. Caspian is a haunting figure of darkness, and for him, Olivia Sinclair isn't just a woman—she is the missing piece to his very survival. Trapped within the cold stone and leaden secrets of the North Tower, Olivia has been tormented her whole life by a family defined by deception and abuse. But as the Vesperthorns close in and an infection hums in her marrow, the stakes reach a diabolical breaking point. Will she finally find the freedom she’s dreamed of, or will she fall prey to the hidden evil weaving a web of stolen light around her? A gripping tale where the line between "God" and "Monster" is razor-thin.

This was an amazing story with Olivia and Caspian. Right from the very beginning it pulls you and keeps you turning the pages. So intriguing with beautiful world building. I was completely immersed and can’t wait to read the next one.
