The Dead Husband Club
A Domestic Thriller with Crime and Suspense
A gripping domestic thriller about secrets, sisterhood, and revenge.
When four husbands die under suspicious circumstances, their once-separate lives become dangerously entangled, and their wives are left to become the news headline.
The media calls them The Dead Husband Club.
The police call them suspects.
But these women aren’t about to let anyone write their story for them.
Bound by tragedy and driven by the truth, Charlotte, Brooke, Harper, and Lena form an unlikely alliance to uncover who—or what—is really behind their husbands’ deaths. As they dig deeper, they unearth secrets that tie them together in ways none of them could have imagined. Someone is watching. Someone knows what they’ve done. And someone wants to make sure they don’t survive long enough to tell their side.
Four women. Four secrets. One killer who underestimated them all.
The Dead Husband Club is a twisty, female-driven thriller that proves when women are pushed to the edge, they don’t fall—they fight back.

Very enjoyable! A group of women who may not have met if they hadn't found themselves thrown together because of the death of their husbands. It's fun, twisty, and a great read!

This is a very brisk read with some amazing characters. Each of the women were different from each other and they all brought something unique to the plot.
One issue I took (and this is a genre convention I will note) is that some scenes were repeated only from different angles, but those different angles didn't really add much to the plot imo. Now that can be a genre convention so I'm not exactly knocking it, but it stuck out. Also I feel like there were one or two threads that weren't tied off so I hope there will be a sequel

The story follows four women connected by the fact that their husbands all die under mysterious circumstances. From the moment the so-called “Dead Husband Club” forms in the headlines thanks to an eager reporter, the tension never lets up.
The multiple POVs and changing perspectives kept me devouring each page at record speed without adding any confusion. There’s a constant undercurrent of unease, and I loved how nothing (and no one) ever felt completely safe or trustworthy.
As the secrets kept piling up and I finally thought I had it all figured out, the story took another twist leaving me not only fully invested but having to reflect on everything once it was all over.
If you like domestic thrillers with buried secrets, lots of twists, and escalating tension, this one’s definitely worth the read.

Michelle Powers pulls the threads together with precision — the motives, the secrets, the “who did what and why” all snap into place in a way that feels both shocking and inevitable. The execution is razor‑sharp, the pacing relentless, and the final payoff is worth every breathless moment. That ending! Wow!

Four women in a quiet town are suddenly bound together when their husbands die under disturbing circumstances. As the media brands them “The Dead Husband Club,” suspicion, secrets, and public scrutiny spiral out of control. What begins as individual tragedy quickly reveals a darker web beneath the surface—one built on lies, power, and buried truths.
Review:
"The Dead Husband Club" is a gripping psychological thriller that blends mystery with sharp social commentary. Told through multiple perspectives, it explores grief, marriage, and the danger of judging women through headlines instead of humanity. Tense, emotionally charged, and fast-paced, this novel keeps you turning pages while asking uncomfortable questions about control, justice, and who gets believed.
