Choose wisely the Christmas soirée you attend!

After a recent breakup, Emma seeks solace at a coworker's Christmas party, hoping for a carefree evening. But things go wrong, terribly wrong for her.

She gets entrapped in the basement without a clue as to why, and the night goes from "ho-ho-ho" to "uh-oh" real fast! Hours later, when she is finally released, she discovers a sinister surprise orchestrated by her colleague and the party's host, Seth. The nightmare he has prepared is far worse than anything she could have imagined.

As he makes the party a living nightmare, survival becomes her sole objective. Will Emma's determination to survive the night be enough to overcome the relentless horrors Seth has unleashed upon the party?

I thought this was actually a very good thriller. It’s about a small office party with a revenge plot. There is plot twists. It keeps you hooked while you read it. It is a very quick read. Longer than a short story but well detailed. I thought the plot was a great idea and the way everything went. The characters develop was decent for a novella. It mostly started on the main characters but that works on tremendously in a novella. I recommend for ya and up. There is a violent scene but it is not overly descriptive. I personally read YA with a lot more, even Harry Potter had more violence and gore.
