I love, love, love the descriptions in this book. It makes the story feel so immersive like you're actually there. It plays on all senses that you have and is just done wonderfully. And Corvu, please, my newest book boyfriend. I'm just a sucker for this kind of set up and I can definitely see this series becoming one that I can reread. While I have a few chapters left, I know this is a five star for me and there is nothing in the world that could change that. It has mystery, paranormal, romance, and the fantasy element that I find so intriguing! You're going to pick this book up and not want to put it down!

This story was different and I actually enjoyed the diversity of the different beings and some of their life struggles. The details of everything. The adventures of the FMC. I definitely recommend this book if you like a different worldy experience, and magic.

I wasn't too sure of this book at first. As I read the book and the further I got into it, I came to love it very much! The writing is amazing as always. I never read Serena Knight books until I read Beast and fell in love with it. Now I'm in love with The Tricksters Deception and can't wait to see what happens next.

If you want something different to read this is the book to read. There are going to be some character you going hated one minute then the next you love them with any book. I can't tell you how may time I hated Corvu only to love him the next minute, but then there is always some character that is like that.

I really hope you give this book a try you won't be disappointed!

Looking for a slow burn fantasy where there is magic, danger, adventure, and misdirection, then you hit the jackpot.

You have questions along the way, fear of losing and trusting those that come along for the ride. It gives a sense of longing and gratitude as well as family and friend.

For those that know the feeling of wanting to belong but never seem to fit in anywhere, there is always a place for you just sometimes it's in the most unlikely places.

This book allows you travel, learning, finding of yourself and belonging. The world and character build is perfect for this book. The book allows you to follow, admire, and fall in love with the characters. Sometimes not realizing that no matter the situation that it's not always what it seems to be. I think it's great for light fantasy readers as well as YA that enjoy a great adventure with a little love mixed in.

I recently read *The Trickster’s Deception* by Serena Knights and… not to be dramatic, but this book pulled me OUT of my reading slump ...

POV: you haven’t been able to focus on a single book and then suddenly: this one just clicks.

The story follows a human who gets TELEPORTED into a magical world (yes, instantly hooked), and from the start it’s such an easy, fun ride. The plot is creative but super accessible, so you can just relax and enjoy the adventure without overthinking anything!

And the characters?? So likeable. Not overly complex, just the kind you immediately connect with. It felt really refreshing to read something where I didn’t have to “work” to get into it: I could just vibe with the story.

The writing style is smooth, engaging, and honestly addictive. I kept turning pages without even realizing it, which says a lot because I’d been struggling to stay focused on reading lately. This book genuinely brought that joy back for me.

This is definitely more of a lighter, feel-good fantasy and that’s exactly why it works so well. Not every book needs to be heavy. Sometimes you just want something magical, comforting, and FUN 💫

If you’re looking for:
✨ magical world escapism
✨ accidental teleportation trope
✨ likeable, easy-to-follow characters
✨ cozy, feel-good fantasy vibes
✨ a true reading slump cure

this is your sign to pick it up 🫶

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5) easy, fun, and exactly what I needed at the right time.

I really enjoyed this story a lot. I loved how Tia was pulled into this world that’s nothing like her own. But instead of shying away, she acclimates and moves forward. I absolutely loved this world. The different characters. Trolls, witches, tricksters and more. I found it to be very intriguing. This story really pulled me in and kept me captivated throughout. I loved the venture and the twists and turns. It was such an amazing story. Nothing like I’ve ever read. I laughed and my heart hurt a little. But this was just such a good read. I can’t wait to read more about Tia. ❤️

This is a slow burn, monster realm, romantasy. From the start of the book, you are drawn in and can’t put it down. This book has a strong, well-developed and an interesting story line with twists and unexpected turns that keep you reading and turning the pages. It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. Amazing world building that is detailed and imaginative and so well done that you're drawn into a fantastic world unlike any other. Strong, interesting, and fascinating characters that are well developed and diverse. The storyline is fast-paced and very well written. This review is based on an early review copy I was sent by the publisher, but this didn't affect the content of my review that I am voluntarily providing.

The Trickster’s Deception
~Serena Knights
Every good lie hides a little truth - and The Trickster’s Deception by Serena Knights blurs that line until it disappears in smoke. This is the kind of romantasy where every flutter of emotion comes with a side of danger, and trust feels like the most seductive gamble of all. It’s got that perfect alchemy of sweet and spicy, humor and heartbreak, myth and magic. Some lies are spoken. Others are spun, glittering like threads of enchantment that pull the reader deeper until they realize they’re just as trapped as the heroine herself.
Tia’s life takes a hard turn into the surreal when she’s unexpectedly - and quite literally - pulled into another realm, one crawling with magic, monsters, and mysteries that don’t play by her world’s rules. From the creatures who lurk in shadows - trolls, pixies, tricksters, and worse - to the sentient whispers of old, forbidden magic, Tia finds herself in a landscape where truth is not just twisty, it’s alive. When her encounter with some unsavory trolls over a mysterious amulet leaves her in danger, she’s rescued by Corvu, a man she can’t quite figure out - is he savior, scoundrel, or both? Together, they set out for the capital in hopes of sending her home, but the journey turns treacherous. Prophecies stir, allegiances shift, and something ancient - something powerful - starts waking up.
Knights writes characters with grit and soul. Tia’s transformation from bewildered outsider to fierce survivor feels earned, full of emotional bruises and flashes of bravery that make her impossible not to root for. Corvu, meanwhile, is the quintessential rogue - equal parts dangerous charm and disarming sincerity. He’s the type of character who can make you laugh one moment and question his intentions the next. Their chemistry crackles like static in the air - witty banter giving way to tension that smolders until it burns. Around them, a supporting cast pulses with life: loyal friends, lurking villains, and those muddled shades of morality that make this world feel immersive and real.
Knights’ writing glows with atmosphere, painting her fantasy realm in candlelight and shadow. Every alley, forest, and flicker of spell feels alive. Her pacing moves with intention, striking that sweet balance between breathless danger and quiet intimacy. She transitions between action and emotion like a spell being spoken - one powerful word at a time. And just when you think you understand who to trust and what’s real, she flips the board, leaving you smiling and clutching the pages in disbelief.
Clever, intoxicating, and full of heart, The Trickster’s Deception is a romantasy that doesn’t just enchant - it devours. If you love stories where desire meets danger and the truth hides behind a mischievous grin, this one belongs at the top of your TBR. Available now on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited - be ready to lose both your breath and your sense of certainty.
