Dreadland

Following the last harvest moon, a strange mist begins to rise at night, and no one seems to know why. DeShawn Lucas, a 24 year old loner, realizes that something is terribly wrong and begins keeping tabs on the growing number of missing persons, as well as on his neighbor and secret flame, Keneisha Dillon. After witnessing a murder in the street by an unidentifiable assailant, followed by a strange visitor in the hallway, he and Keneisha find themselves in what may be the end of the world as they know it, a world full of mutants. Pursued by ghastly monstrosities and finding the source of the mist, “the yellow”, their goal becomes mere survival, but the mist may have more in store for them.

About the Author

Uilleam Whitedale
After over three decades in El Paso, Texas, where he was a punk/Gothabilly fan - turned teacher, Uilleam Whitedale moved to northern New Jersey… and kept being a teacher. He is a little bit country, a little bit rock’n’roll, as the cliche goes, with a large dose of vegetarian tacos and salsa. Ten years later, although he’s always been a writer, he decided to try his hand at novels, under the pseudonym Uilleam Whitedale. He is a reader of nonfiction by constitution - political science, psychology, philosophy, etc - but incorporates that knowledge into his stories. He’s also a huge horror movie fan. Splice those things together and you get his writing style. He owns a Substack called Whitedale, where he posts unedited material, poetry, and kid’s/MG flash fiction.

Whitedale is a member of the Dark Veil Society, a supportive collective of indie horror authors.
