Wild and crazy - Not what you expected
I love twists and turns and stories within stories. This one does not disappoint. Cannot wait to see how her past life slips into the next novel!

Suburbia isn’t always what it seems…
The Perfect Wife kicks off with an enticing premise—new neighborhood, mysterious secrets, and a criminal profiler-in-training with a buried past. Jessie Hunt is a compelling lead, and the story sets the stage for high-stakes psychological suspense. There’s a fast pace, some juicy suburban drama, and a serial killer who might know more about Jessie than he should.
That said, while the setup is strong, the execution feels uneven. The twists are plenty, but not all of them land convincingly. Jessie’s rapid unraveling sometimes feels more dramatic than believable, and a few plot points come across as rushed or overly convenient. The writing style leans a bit repetitive, which occasionally pulled me out of the story.
Still, for fans of popcorn thrillers with high drama and cliffhangers, this is a quick and bingeable start to a long series. Not perfect, but not a bad intro if you’re in the mood for something twisty and suburban.
