THIS BOOK IS PART OF A VERY DARK/PITCH BLACK SERIES OF HORRORS – READ THE DAMN TRIGGER WARNINGS

I just love the entire premise of this series, a girl’s life is destroyed by a group of her so called friends and she sets about her revenge, making 10 dolls as gifts to welcome the children of those who hurt her into the world. Little do they know, the dollmaker is coming to collect.

Ember’s story is just so bleak, her mother doesn’t like her because she isn’t her mini me, her father is a cheating asshat that blames his misgivings on her and her mother and people at school think she’s weird except her best friend (who just wants to fit in and be liked).

After she is attacked at a party and her mother tells her she was asking for it with how she was dressed, a dark presence makes himself known to her. Alastair, is the perfect evil shadow daddy we never knew we needed. He’s there to enact Savannah’s revenge but after his first encounter with Ember, the way that will play out changes drastically.

This book is deliciously dark, pitch black even and I cannot get enough of the gory horror contained within these novellas.
Bring on the rest of the series.
