I felt the start was a little slow. The story really starts to build as the two main characters, Ivy and V, graduate and decide to start their adult lives together, sharing an apartment as best friends.
They both quickly meet and fall in love with Xavier and Dixon, and all appears well. I would have loved a bit more story in the middle and to get to know those characters better to really build the tension.
The overall twists are a really good idea, and it all comes together nicely in the end. A great book to take on holiday, as it's the perfect pace for a beach day read.

Slow burn to start, about half way in it when is picks up with fast pace energy. I felt like this book has much going for it. The possibilities are endless to make this into a series of greatness with Ivy and Agent McGuire. The chapters are short and keep the pages turning quickly. I was able to finish this off within a few short hours and it kept my interest throughout. I did find at times there was more info then needed and when I was wanting more there wasn't enough. Overall I do hope there is more to come and maybe a mentorship in the future!

This book was a short, engaging read. I enjoyed the depth of the characters and quickly became invested in their lives. Around the middle of the book, the story really gets going, and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished it. I’m interested to see what this author brings out next. A very enjoyable read.
