Well, definitely not my genre *laughs*
But a cozy read, even if there were times i wanted to slap a lot of the characters. Seriously, how hard is it to sit down, shut up, and listen? Ye gods...
But I'm fairly sure that's a genre thing, which is why I don't tend to read women's lit or beach reads, etc. I guess when you cannot have dragons or evil sorcerers, you are left with characters doing head shaking stupid things for conflict.
The ending felt rushed though. I think less time with The Rat and more time building up the love interest would have resolved that.
BUT.
I really loved the descriptions and I would love to visit the cafe. I loved the inclusion of a lesbian couple who has been together for decades and its just a normal relationship. I loved Ella!
I honestly do not know if I'm going to read more or not, but I did enjoy this one (wanting to shake characters aside) and I definitely don't regret my time in Wynbridge.
