Fantasia and Olive, two women who were involved with the same man and who have each fathered his son, seemingly meet for the first time after hearing the news of Gregory’s murder. Fantasia is clinging to her life with her son by a thread, on the verge of homelessness, riddled with anxiety and tied to a schedule of endless medication after a horrendous ordeal in her recent past. Olive is quite the opposite, living a life with her son in a fancy loft, being an artist, and appearing as if she has it all together. When it becomes apparent that Gregory was attempting to steal artwork at the time of his death and now that artwork is missing, both women team up to find the artwork before the murderer finds them.
This was a new author for me and I found the writing spot on. The twists were all over the place and despite being a consummate thriller reader, I could not predict them! There were so many zig-zags in the plot, that I had no idea where the author was going with it, and I LOVED every second of it! The ending was a shock!
I had trouble trying to decide who to route for in this book because although I found each character to be interesting, I also found each one to be self-centered and impulsive. I found myself switching who I was routing for back and forth.
The author was very good with descriptive phrases and I especially liked the vivid descriptions of the antique store and the replication painting process.

I swear B.E. Fournier's books get better and better every round, if that's even possible!!
This book definitely has jaw dropping twists, you think you know, but you don't... no...
Highly suggest picking up a copy when this releases on April 30th. You wont regret your reading decision with this one!
