I thoroughly enjoyed Book 3 of The Darkness Series! Jessica hands down killed it with this series! Any book that Jessica writes she nails it!!
"The Darkness that Came Before" is the prequel in the series and a compelling thriller that explores the consequences of buried secrets and the lengths people will go, to protect them.
Jessica skillfully weaves a tale filled with death, murder, trauma, and mental health disorders, capturing the unsettling atmosphere of Cherry Hollow. The discovery of another body, (from 40 years prior), hidden in Beaker Ravine suggests that The Darkness has been present in the town long before anyone realized its existence, raising questions about its origins and motivations.
Jessica's writing is spine-chilling, and evocative, creating a sense of unease that permeates the story. Jessica's ability to blend suspense, psychological depth, and a haunting atmosphere makes this book a must-read!
