Only reason it is not a 5 star is language. If the F- word had been used less it would have been a 5-star.
Being that some of the female characters were raped or abused, using that word so freely makes reading the book much more difficult.
Otherwise, I loved how the main character Lorne goes from the present to his past. One seems to have a mixed effect on the other.
I could especially sympathize with the supernatural parts because, although mine are not as intense, I seem to feel that there are always "spirits" around assisting or hindering our lives.
