Thrilling christmas

I enjoy the advent style of the book. The story was creepy and kept me wondering. Nothing is scarier than family in trouble in the middle of no where.

The concept of the advent book is intriguing, and I found the experience of reading one chapter a day both challenging and rewarding. Initially, maintaining the discipline to read just one chapter daily was tough, but I practiced self-control and made it to the 24th day. Ultimately, I decided to finish the last chapter a day early, as I was eager to see how the story ended.

After discovering the author's writing process and the underlying idea behind the book, I became more lenient with my rating. Some chapters we more exciting to me than others; however, I reminded myself that reading them alongside different chapters could have shifted my perspective on their overall impact.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and the unique premise of reading a chapter each day.

25 Days by Per Jacobsen was an absolute blast that combined the fun of an advent calendar with the suspense of a thriller. It's like getting a surprise gift every day, but instead of chocolates, you get thrills and chills!

The story kicks off with Adam Gray planning a cozy family holiday in a remote cabin. But oh boy, does it take a turn. The serene setting quickly becomes a nightmare as mysterious gifts start appearing in a Christmas stocking, each day revealing a more terrifying surprise. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turns into a deadly game against the most twisted Secret Santa you could imagine.

Reading 25 Days as an advent calendar with his reader group was a fun experience. Each day brought a new chapter seen through the eyes of a different family member. I found myself eagerly anticipating the next "gift" and the spine-tingling twist that came with it.

Jacobsen’s pacing is spot-on, with each chapter leaving you more intrigued and anxious for what comes next. The characters' fear and desperation are so palpable, you'll feel like you're right there with them in their living hell.

In conclusion, 25 Days is not just a thriller—it's an adventure-packed rollercoaster. If you're looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make your holiday season a bit more thrilling, this is the one for you. Just be prepared for some sleepless nights as you anxiously await to read the next chapter and a few extra checks of your own Christmas stockings!

Hoping he does another advent calendar in the future!

The first book I've ever seen written as an advent calendar so therefore the first book I've read as an advent calendar. A chapter a day for 25 days in December. A brilliant idea and the author made a facebook buddy read group which he and his wife were very active. It was a lovely experience to be part of. I did find it difficult to stop after one chapter but I made sure I had another book on the go to help me out. Overall it was a unique experience and I hope he goes on to do another.
