Circus of Dreams (Crimson Carnival)

Well... if smart mouthed vampires that you want to punch in the face but also rip their clothes of and get filthy with are your thing, I suggest you read this book.

Knox is a grade A mindfuck. He's has his own secret agenda and says he is only trying to protect Danni and when he's being open and vulnerable, he's adorable and you want to fall for him but his holier than thou, narcissistic tendencies and sarcastic tone make you want to smack him.

The story centres around Danni, a journalist sent to the Circus for a story. A circus that only comes to town once in a blue moon that no-one remembers anything about, there are no photographs and she believes it has something to do with her mother's murder. She believes what she saw, a vampire kill her mother when she was 6 years old and has spent the last several years researching and waiting to seek her vengeance.

There are definitely twists and turns and a mystery to solve within the pages of this book. There is no mention of book 2 yet but I hope I dont have to wait long because I NEED ANSWERS.

There is spice in this book and it is graphic but it does not overpower the plot and its mostly foreplay so only a 2 on the spice-o-meter for me.

Vampires, a circus, trials, witches and fated mates... perfect romantasy reading.
