I've been trying to get this review up but...LIFE!
I was blessed with an advanced reader's copy of Ready or Not by @authorjennplummer and when I tell you I read it in a day, I did

This novella was spicy and made me realize how much I love the age gap trope. Lilith is the picture perfect descendant of Aspen Ridge's founders and acts the part in her daily life but in private, she yields to darker pleasures. Wes Draven, her ex-boyfriend's father, is keen to fulfill all of her fantasies.
I liked the brief cutaway from the Hates siblings and getting to see and hear more about Aspen Ridge. It was cute reading about Hannah running Bean Haven and hearing about the Hayes boys.
Now to the main event. I loved the flirty banter between Wes and Lilith, especially as the story heads to the third act. Lily was a baddie, unafraid to stand up for herself when her douchey ex tried to slut shame her. And Wes, oof, his over protectiveness was so attractive. The spice was worth waiting till the end of the book; primal play is top tier.
