This was a great ending to an amazing series. I was pulled in start to finish. Towards the end it really had me on edge wanting to know what was happening next. I am so glad I found this author and this series. I canāt wait to read more from her.

This was a satisfying ending to the trilogy. The first two were slow burns, with some scary moments. This one is much more exciting, especially towards the end, but still keeps a lot of the slower pace. I didn't mind, and it was nice to see a conclusion to these characters' stories. I liked a lot of the side characters in the first one, and was disappointed they were barely featured in the second one. They are more prominent in this one, which I liked. There were a lot more creepy moments in this one, and even incredibly sad parts. I'm glad I was able to enjoy this whole series. It was truly a joy and an adventure! First, a huge thank you to Tamara and InsideStory for allowing me to return to Blackshore one last time. A place where nothing is quite what it seems, childhood comes with emotional damage, and love means so much more than simply loving someone.
Oh, Tamara. What have you done to me?!
I absolutely loved this. Every. Damn. Page.
This is the third and final book in the Blackshore series, and I deliberately put off reading it for as long as humanly possible. Why? Because apparently I thought that if I ignored the ending long enough, it simply wouldnāt happen. Very mature of me, I know.
And then I started reading. Goodbye responsibilities. Goodbye real life. If anyone needed me, well, tough luck. I was mentally unavailable and emotionally held hostage by a fictional town. And what a beautifully disturbing little nightmare Blackshore is.
This isnāt a light read. Itās dark, heavy, layered, and definitely not something youāll finish during a quick coffee break. Unless you have absolutely no life and an alarming amount of caffeine. No judgment. I practically abandoned mine.
What got under my skin wasnāt just the horror or the psychological mind games. It was the friendship. The kind most of us can only dream of. Forged through darkness, shaped by trauma, and held together by scars that time never really managed to heal.
1997 and 2017 almost become one. Childhood and adulthood blur together. Growing up doesnāt necessarily mean growing free. And those innocent little nursery rhymes? Well, darling, apparently even childhood songs can come with a complimentary dose of psychological damage. Curse or protection? Who bloody knows anymore?
And somehow, in the middle of all that darkness, Blackshore felt strangely comforting. Which probably says something deeply concerning about me.
I could go on. Believe me, I could. But I refuse to become that unhinged spoiler goblin who ruins someone elseās beautifully traumatic reading experience.
Five keep your bad memories behind red doors stars from me. Because when a book pulls me in so completely that I forget the world exists, when the scenes play out in my head like Iāve just watched an entire movie, and when I find myself staring at the ceiling afterward, wondering whether I even feel the same about Jesse anymoreā¦ well, thatās five stars earned.
And now Blackshore has claimed a permanent, rent-free residence in my already overcrowded brain. Fantastic. Just what I needed.
If youāre ready for the final chapter of a series where fantasy meets horror, love meets trauma, and your mind becomes a battlefield of its own, then please, read this.
But do yourself a favour and start with book one. Blackshore deserves to be experienced from the beginning. Because while this might be the end of the series, I can promise you one thing.
Autumn, Jamie, and Jesse arenāt going anywhere.
Some stories end when you close the book.
Others quietly follow you home.

I genuinely don't know how to feel now that I've finished this book. š„¹
Reading The Curse of Blackshore felt like watching a supernatural thriller and action movie unfold in my head. The paranormal elements were SO good, and I loved how the story embraced the supernatural instead of holding back. It was adventurous, intense, and honestly, such a terrific ride.
One thing I particularly loved was watching the characters grow from children into adults and eventually into senior citizens. There's something about witnessing an entire lifetime unfold through the lives of characters you've grown attached to that hits differently. It felt like time was moving so fast, and before I could even process it, Pajamies was almost 60. š„² Like, excuse me, when the hell did we get here?!
And then there's Jesse. š
When the Leviathan's body was found, I genuinely thought Jesse was still alive. Even with his body flickering through the different ages he was when they fought the monster, I thought the magic might still be in his system and that there was a chance he had survived. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, and I'm still a little heartbroken about it.
This book gave me so much to experience. The supernatural horror, the action, the adventure, the characters, and the passage of time all came together to create something that felt bigger than just a story. It felt like I had travelled alongside these characters and watched their lives unfold.
I can't even fully explain how I feel about the ending yet, but I know I loved the journey. It was wholesome in a way I didn't expect, and finishing it feels like saying goodbye to people I've known for a long time.
The Curse of Blackshore was a terrific, adventurous ride, and I'm so glad I signed up for the Arc reading. ā¤ļø

From the beginning to the end I was left wanting more. If it was not for life responsibilities (sleep, eat, work) I would have finished in a day. I would recommend to read the books in order you will not be disappointed. This was my favorite book in the series all the questions of The Who and Why are answered, I thought I had it figured out, I was wrong. The ending will tug on heart strings sad the series is over. I cannot wait to see much more writing from Tamara Rector.

This was an epic rollercoaster ride for the finale of this trilogy. Jamie, Autumn, and Jesse are still fighting. Determined to win and not lose anything more. Jesse went all in, even if it meant rushing Jamie. I was so worried that it was exactly what he was going to do if it meant keeping her. This was so intense, so intriguing. This isnāt one that you start, put down, and pick up again later. You push through! You keep going. You have to because itās that good. I devoured this. I loved the twists and turns, the craziness and humor. This was such an amazing story. And I loved every minute of it.

This book wrecked me, but in the best way. It brings the story together in ways that I never even expected and grows the lore beautifully. There were times that I laughed and more than one time that I cried (the angst OMG), but I could not have wished for it to be done any other way. Who knew that a pirate book would become one of my favourite reads!

4.75āļø I canāt believe this is the end of Blackshore! After three books, I was so invested in these characters and this crazy, dark world that I honestly wasnāt ready for it to be over. The Curse of Blackshore really brought everything together. So many things from the first two books finally made sense, and I loved having those moments where I was like, āOMG now I get it!ā All the secrets, the curse and the history of Blackshore finally start connecting. But what I loved most was the characters. After everything Autumn, Jesse, Jamie and the others have been through, I just wanted them to be okay! š There were definitely some emotional moments for me, especially with Jamie, and I loved seeing how much these characters have changed since the beginning. This whole series has been creepy, mysterious, emotional and sometimes completely crazy, but thatās what kept me reading. I loved how things from the very first book came back around and actually mattered in the end. Iām sad to leave Blackshore, but I really enjoyed how everything came full circle. Such a great ending to a series that has taken me on one wild ride. šš“āā ļøš¤definitely will recommend reading all 3 books š.

What an epic way to end the Blackshore series! This book was a complete emotional rollercoaster. Gut wrenching, exhilarating and funny all at the same time. I honestly never knew what was going to happen next, and Tamara had me all over the place with this one!
There were some moments that absolutely broke my heart, and I was not prepared for all the emotions this book put me through. I loved how everything came together, even if I was left wondering what on earth was going to happen next half the time!
And youāve got to love Tanner! He brought some much-needed humour amongst all the chaos, and it was so good to see the gang together again.
Tamara really pulled out all the stops with this final book. It had everything I could have wanted, and I couldnāt have asked for a better ending to the series. Iām sad to say goodbye to Blackshore, but what a way to go out! Definitely an emotional ride from start to finish.

The Curse of Blackshore is the kind of finale that hurts because you care so damn much. After everything these characters have been through, after loving them, worrying about them, fighting alongside them, and watching their story unfold, reaching the end felt incredibly bittersweet. I was excited to finally see how everything would come together, but at the same time, I was absolutely NOT ready to say goodbye.
And this book put my heart through it.
Jamie, Autumn, and Jesseā¦ I donāt even know where to begin. The danger, the secrets, the impossible choices, the love, the grief, and that constant feeling that everything could fall apart at any second had me completely invested. And Tanner, Noah, and Felix too. These characters have all carved out their own little places in my heart, and saying goodbye to all of them feels genuinely unfair. šš
What got me the most was the love woven through all of it. The kind of love that refuses to disappear. The kind that survives death, curses, time, betrayal, and things that should make survival impossible. That invisible thread connecting these characters has been one of my favorite parts of this entire series, and seeing everything come full circle was both heartbreaking and beautiful.
I actually had to take my time with the ending. I wasnāt ready to rush through those final pages because I knew what they meant: this was goodbye. And when youāve become this attached to a fictional world and its characters, closing that final chapter feels a little like losing something.
Iāve had the absolute privilege of ARC reading all three books in this series, and I honestly donāt think I was prepared for what it would feel like to finally reach the end. Iāve been on this journey with these characters from the beginning, and knowing there wonāt be another Blackshore book waiting for me afterward makes my heart hurt in the best and worst way.
I reread the first book before diving into the second, bought the second, and then got to experience the entire series as an ARC reader. Iāve watched these characters grow, suffer, fight, love, lose, and somehow keep going. Iāve stayed up way too late reading because I needed to know what happened next, and Iāve spent more than a few moments staring at a page trying to process what I had just read.
And now itās over.
But somehow, Tamara Rector gave me exactly what I needed.
My heart broke. It healed. It broke again. And then, somehow, I was left with that warm, happy feeling that comes from knowing these characters finally got the ending they deserved.
This series has been such a journey for me, and The Curse of Blackshore was the perfect kind of painful goodbye. Emotional, haunting, heartbreaking, romantic, terrifying, and ultimately so satisfying.
Iām going to miss Blackshore. Iām going to miss Jamie, Autumn, Jesse, Tanner, Noah, Felix, and all the little pieces of this world that Iāve grown so attached to. Iām going to miss having another book to look forward to.
But what a way to say goodbye.
Beautiful, heartbreaking, emotional, and full of the kind of love that stays with you long after youāve turned the final page. The Curse of Blackshore gave me the kind of ending that makes you close the book, stare into space for a minute, and justā¦ feel everything.

Stepping back into Blackshore was like coming back to my hometown after being away for a long time. This place and these characters felt so much like home. It was like no time had passed at all.
This book will pull you in and drag you through all of your emotions. You will fight in the caves beside the whole team and have your heart ripped out with Jesse, Jaime, and Autumn all over again. You will laugh and cry and hold your breath.
This is the perfect finale to the Blackshore trilogy.
