"The Residence" is a short story that really shows us the dark and twisted mind of Harlan Medville, the inheritor of the gothic mansion, Arcania. Harlan's sole focus is securing his family's legacy, and he's willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure his succession.

I was super excited when Nicola said she was writing a short prequel to The Retreat. I loved how we were able to enter into the mind of Harlan and how Cora and his story began.
