Firstly, this was an arc read for H.G Rosa who is just fantastic, in my opinion.
Secondly, this book is DARK so please please please, check the content warnings before you read this.
Fuck! There isn't much more I can say when it comes to this book. It damn near destroyed me on an emotional level. There were times when I physically, out loud, shouted at this book.
It had me feeling all of the feelings. I cried several times during these 252 pages, both happy and ugly tears.
The detail, the fight for survival, the betrayal, the love, pain, anger and levels of trust between our MC's is just glorious to witness. Both brutally stunning and gut-wrenchingly heart-breaking. You can feel it coming off the page that these two are meant to be together, that soulmates actually exist and that love can change everything.
The shit these two go through just to get to each other is beyond awful but is so well written, I could not put this book down. I didn't want to put it down and I want to know more. I am fully emotionally invested in Gabriel and Ines story and their lives beyond this book.
I am loving and living for my dark romance journey (it would seem, the more I read, the more darkness I crave - I think I'm a little unhinged) and I cannot recommend this series enough and I do hope there is possibly more of it to come.
