The Wife I Was

This just might be one of the best books of Maria’s yet! I am not usually one for supernatural or ghost stories (ok, maybe I make exceptions for Jeneva Rose books) but when a new Maria Frankland book comes out, it’s an automatic must read for me since I’ve read every single one of her books already and loved all of them and let me tell you this book hits it out of the park! The Wife I Was is completely different than anything else she has written because it deals with a ghost element and I loved it! I was drawn in from the first page and I couldn’t put it down, except for to watch the Backyard Brawl WVU vs. Pitt game yesterday where my twin sons go to college against each other! I devoured this book. The character development was so good and I loved learning about each character and trying to figure out who was the murderer. I absolutely adored the character of Nan and felt like she was such a fire cracker and added so much to the story. The twist at the end definitely got me once again! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The writing was sharp and the chapters were short and flew by. I loved the ending. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and you won't be able to do anything else until you finish it! So grab a copy and your favorite reading spot and clear your calendar!
