I really enjoyed the sweet and spicy romance from Molly McAdams. It is the first book of hers I’ve read. Actually I listen to it on Audible. It was free with membership until the end of the year. Check your trigger warnings for this book. While they're are not explicit there is some discussion of. SA.
In Lie To Me, we meet Emma Wade who has come from a troubled past with lots of neglect and abuse at the hands of her mother and those around her mom. Emma escapes her mom and her struggle to survive alone, and goes back to the town of Colby, to see her grandmother, LaLa. It's at get grandmother's house where she runs into Reed Ryan. Reed is a former Navy Seal and current police officer. Will Emma let down her wall for Reed? There are tons of side stories and surprises both happy and sad.
