Lights Out (Into Darkness, #1)

Ally, a trauma nurse, has a mask kink and it turns out the man she fantasises about on Tiktok is much closer than she thinks. Josh is a hacker, the son of a sadistic serial killer and roommate to Ally’s friend with benefits. He’s the man behind the mask who is falling for the hot nurse in his comments section.
I’d give this book 6 stars if I could. The characters are instantly loveable, and you just want them to work. Even though Josh is stalking her, he’s kind of the perfect guy. He’s looking out for her wellbeing and safety and just wants to make sure she’s fed and actually rests between her hectic shifts.
Fred is quite possibly the best side character of any book ever. He has his own distinct personality, and you start to see him exactly how Josh does, as their child.
The tension, the plot twists and the depth of back story just bring this book to life. I cannot wait to read more of Navessa’s work and I think I might even have to listen to the audio book for this one too.

Where to begin. Lights Out is dark and thrilling. I started it on audible and the voice roles of Aly and Josh fight perfectly. I had to buy the hardcopy.
