It explores the year Danny spends as Knox's familiar in the City of Nightmares, deep underground with no natural sunlight, scheming vampires, returned magic and lots of secrets.

There is definitely plenty of plot and character development and I will warn you, you will go from loving to hating to loving to hating to being completely unsure how you feel about Knox by the end of this book.

There is magic, secrets, plotting, lies, spice, blood and an interesting twist. Oh and yes, it ends on a cliffhanger that will have you screaming to B Green for book 3 now.
