This is a Rom-Com. The tropes are grumpy vs. sunshine, small town, and opposites attract.
In the beginning, I was unsure of Cherry. I was debating in my head on what in the world this woman was trying to do. Growing up in a tourist town, I fully understand the struggle between citizens of the town and the tourist getting a claim on everything. I was so happy to see Xavier stand up for the citizens. The end of chapter 12 took me by complete surprise. I love how the book took a turn to a better direction that I originally had thought in the first two chapters. I cannot believe Xavier could be such an butthole to Cherry. After everything they went through together. The ending is so wonderful. I love HEA’s they are the best. I highly recommend this book. If you want a Christmas/Holiday read this one will be for you.
