Oh my god! This was exactly what I needed, what I wanted and now I just want to know more. Kaylie Smith did it again with the second instalment of the wicked games and I am praying there will be a third.
The characters were just perfection and now I want all the Silver’s to have their own spin offs. I think I prefer Genevieve’s character to that of Ophelia’s in Phantasma, she is more feisty and more willing to find her own story. Rowin is just shadow daddy deliciousness, he’s broody, dominant, gorgeous and yet the way he is so caring and tender towards Genevieve (especially when she gets hurt) is the perfect balance to his brutish exterior.
There were parts of this book that made me want to scream, the villain/villains are exactly what you want from a fantasy story about Demons. Devils and Hell. Parts that made me cry, some of the deeper, emotional things Rowin says to Genevieve were heartbreakingly beautiful.
Again, the twists in this book were fabulous and I did not see them coming. I do not want to compare it directly to Phantasma as although, technically it does follow on from where it left off, Enchantra is its own entity.
I give the spice a 3.5 rating as it builds nicely but is kink related the further it the book we get. It’s not all smut and no plot, which in certain cases is not a bad thing, but in romantasy I like a bit of story building around the “That’s a good girl, you take it so well!”.
The side characters fully add to the story telling and are well written and develop steadily as well as out MMC and FMC. I really enjoyed that side of the story and as I mentioned earlier, think they all deserve their own stories told in the future.
Overall, this was an excellent read, enjoyed it from page 1 and would happily re-read in the future. 5-star book for me, obviously I want more, so Kaylie (if you see this) PLEASE give us a book 3.
