After The Darkness The Misty Peaks Series

Death causes the greatest pain of all. It drains all the light from your life, leaving you in nothing but darkness.
When Ashley's parents are both killed in a car accident, she sinks into a deep depression. Needing to escape everything, she runs to where her parents were happiest, Misty Peaks, a small town in Colorado. But when she arrives, Ashley isn't prepared for how the memories will impact her.
Meeting a handsome stranger wasn't in her plans, but when Tate Walker forces his way into her life, she wants everything he's offering. And when her life is threatened, he's the only one she wants there to protect her.
As the darkness begins to fade, Ashley must learn that nothing in life comes easy, including love. With lies and misunderstandings coming from every direction, can Ashley finally trust in someone or will the darkness claim her heart once again?
Can Tate show Ashley that true happiness comes from within and that there is a bright life to live, After The Darkness?

This book contains references of sexual violence, suicide, and other content that some readers may find distressing.
Although this story is a romance with a happy ending and no cliffhangers, reader discretion is advised.

Mental Health is very important. Remember it comes in all forms. This is a very tragic beginning. It is something we all have to go through eventually in our life but doesn’t make it easier or better. It is still tragic. I did not expect the love twist at all but the plot twist that turns this darker is even better. This was really good and the ending took me by surprise.

Rachael Rogers did an amazing job. I cannot wait to read her future books.
4 star and 2 spice. Mostly all plot.
