Erased

"My future is uncertain. I don't know my past. But I know one thing-someone is lying to me." - Audie Gardner.

What if the truth was more terrifying than the memory you lost?

From the bestselling author of Suffocated and Hush Little Baby. When Audie wakes up after a devastating accident, her mind is a blank slate. The people around her-her devoted partner, her closest friends, even her own family-all claim to know who she is. But every version of her past is different. Contradictory. Suspicious.

As Audie struggles to piece together the fragments of her life, a chilling realization sets in: the memory she lost may not be the worst part of her past. The real danger lies in what she is about to uncover.

Who can she trust when everyone seems to be hiding something? And what if the person she fears most... is herself?

Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden and Lisa Jewell, ERASED is a spine-tingling psychological thriller packed with shocking twists, haunting suspense, and a truth that will leave you breathless.

Erased
- Tee Seabronne

Erased is a dark and twisted psychological thriller that is masterfully crafted gripping you from the very first page and doesn’t let go. Seabronne skillfully explores themes like memory loss, gaslighting, hidden truths, grooming, manipulation, familial conflict, and mental instability, all of which create an intense, suspenseful atmosphere that will keep you hooked.

What if you woke up tomorrow with no memory of your past life?

The story follows Audie (FMC), who finds herself in a hospital after a devastating accident, unable to remember how she got there or any details about her past. As she regains consciousness, a strange man named River (the MMC) is at her bedside, calling her "babe" and professing his love for her. As Audie starts to piece together hints of her past, she’s confronted with contradictory accounts of her life, causing her to question everything she thought she knew and has been told. These mixed revelations set her on a journey of uncovering her true identity. For now, she knows that she can trust no one, not even her own memories that flicker in and out.

The pacing of Erased is perfect. What begins as a slow burn with the introduction into the story, quickly evolves into a fast-paced ride you can’t put down. While there’s a brief shift in POV that initially threw me off, I quickly adjusted and found myself immersed in the story without issue. Seabronne has an insane talent for developing her characters, giving them flaws, questionable morals, and a level of relatability that bring them to life. That said, I do wish there had been a little more time spent developing the supporting characters to help us connect with them on a deeper level, which would’ve enhanced the overall immersive experience.

What really brought the story together for me was the plot twists. Each twist escalates the tension, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the final reveal. Honestly, I was ready to toss the book across the porch at one point — the final twist is satisfying, but it leaves you with a lingering sense of “Could there be a sequel?” Ms Seabronne, any hints?

If you’re looking for a quick, dark, and mind-bending read packed with twists and psychological thrills, Erased should definitely be next on your TBR list.

As always, all opinions and reviews are of my own volition. I have not been promised any compensation by the author, present or future, for my review.

Have you ever thought "What if I woke up tomorrow and my past was gone?" For Audie, this scenario becomes her reality when she wakes up in the hospital with no recollection of anything or anyone around her. There's been a terrible accident, but by luck she survived. Her loving boyfriend River is there when she wakes up and he promises to take care of her.

Audie's family is not close, so River explains not to expect to see them much. As she settles back into their home, Audie can't shake the feeling that there is more to the story than everyone is telling her.

As Audie picks at the various yarns holding her life together, what will happen if Audie pulls too hard in her search for the truth?

As the author says, "memory is a tricky thing."

This book was a wild ride and I devoured it in less than 24 hours. Highly recommend!

WOW! Tee Seabrone delivers a gripping psychological thriller in Erased. Let me tell you that this book pulls you in from page one, actually the prologue, and refuses to let go. With its intricate plot, multiple POVs, and relentless tension, this story kept me so completely hooked that I was up half the night finishing it.

One of the standout elements of Erased is the way the different perspectives were woven so expertly, giving us an immersive look at the unfolding mystery. Each character's voice adds a new layer of intrigue, making it impossible to predict what's coming next. The pacing is sharp, the suspense is high, and the twists were phenomenal.

Seabrone has a way of making you question everything, creating an atmosphere where danger lurks in every shadow. The psychological depth of the characters makes them feel real, flawed, and completely compelling. I found myself devouring each chapter, eager to unravel the secrets hidden within these pages. Who is "good" and who is "bad"?

Overall, Erased is a must-read for psychological thriller lovers. If you enjoy dark, twisty narratives with multiple POVs and expertly crafted suspense, this one belongs on your TBR. Tee Seabrone has officially earned a spot on my must-read author list!
