It’s a slow burn book. The first half starts by giving you all of the information you need to know as the story progresses and is so worth knowing. In the beginning we meet Raven, a strong willed, badass FMC, who is struggling in her life in Boston but she has no idea that it’s preparing her for life in a whole new world that she has to learn to navigate as she goes.
The world building is so smooth that as the story goes it just keeps you wanting more, more more. As it progresses I kept checking how far along I was in the book and kept telling myself no please no. Raven & Arden have a rocky start to their relationship but watching it slowly build over time. Yes please
