I loved the authors tongue-in-cheek humour. As an indie author, I can relate to a lot of his points and found myself smiling, nodding, and even laughing at points. I did struggle with Katie, but I appreciate this was there to shock and prove a contrasting point of view. I'm so glad I said yes to his offer of do you trade? His book is unique in style, and I'm so glad I read it. I will be looking for and eagerly consuming more of his work.
With regards to Vampire Odyssey, I have to admit I could not stomach it all. I skipped huge chunks, and I applaud the fact that RK Byers persevered to the climatic end. Upon skimming, some parts did stand out, and Dracula running for town sheriff and vowing to "take a bite out of crime" was particularly amusing, and it's only redeeming feature.
