Uglies by Scott Westerfeld absolutely blew me away.
This book dives into a world where turning “pretty” isn’t just a choice—it’s an expectation. At first glance, it feels like a futuristic coming-of-age story… but it quickly turns into something much deeper, darker, and thought-provoking.
Tally’s journey had me hooked from the start. Watching her question everything she’s been taught, struggle with loyalty, and figure out who she really is? SO good. The character growth is chef’s kiss
