Read Letter D.

Feb 8, 2026
2.5 rounded up - I had a HARD time rating this - I really enjoyed Well Met (and loved to see Emily and Simon continue in the background in this one - honestly, I might have DNF'd if not for them)

The blurb alludes to the catfishing by Daniel (pretending to be his heart throb cousin Dex), but I did not realize how... intense that was going to be, nearly a year!? And suddenly Stacey sees him and basically doesn't care? Even mentions how she'd considered wishing it was him? when? how? that NEVER happens until they meet in person. Their only face to face interaction is a passing greeting at faire.

Even with her forgiveness, Daniel just... doesn't deserve her. Not one bit. Twice he messes up so bad, then she (overly) generously leaves him an opening to to fix things and he just walks away leaving her to decide what to do. To be sure, Stacey has her own issues too, but I was rooting for her to find herself, her independence... and a new man. Sorry not sorry Daniel.

I am excited for the next book with April and Mitch, though book 4 with Dex... we'll see. I'm pretty sick of the annoying MacLean family.
