In Tracing Scars, the third book in the Kort Series, Brandy Hynes brings us back into the world of unforgettable characters and emotional tension. This time, the spotlight is on two people carrying deep pain and even deeper secrets. When their paths cross, what starts as a reluctant connection slowly grows into something raw and real. But past wounds have a way of leaving a mark, and trusting each other might be the biggest risk of all.

I was excited to jump into this one since I’ve been following the Kort Series, and Tracing Scars absolutely delivered. This book hits hard emotionally, but it also has that quiet kind of hope that sneaks up on you.

The characters feel like real people dealing with real heartbreak. I loved how their connection wasn’t instant but built up slowly with tension and trust. There’s something so satisfying about watching two guarded people start to open up. It’s messy and honest, which made it even better.

And okay... let's talk about Teddy Hamilton. His voice is literal perfection. I already liked the story, but having him narrate took it to another level. His delivery gave the male POV all the emotion it needed without ever going over the top. I could have listened to him read the grocery list and still been happy. Avery Caris held her own too, giving the female POV a grounded, emotional touch that really fit the character’s journey.

This book is filled with the kind of quiet ache that lingers, the kind that makes you pause and feel something deeper. If you’re into angsty romance with heart and healing, this one should be on your list.
