Oh this book. THIS BOOK.

Juliette spent YEARS of her life without love, without touch, without human interactions. She forgot how to actually say words out loud. So when Adam comes into her life she slowly starts learning how to speak out loud again. She feels touch for the first time in literal years and her world is SHOOK.

She falls in love. Then her and Adam are captured again. They find a way to escape and run for their lives. They find refuge with the rebels. A whole underground place with others like her.

Juliette isn’t selfish she’s still learning how to be around others again. She spent YEARS alone to suddenly around so so many people in WEEKS. WEEKS her whole life has been turned upside down and she has to learn how to be around people again, caring for others around her.

When she learns that loving Adam is hurting him they break up. Now mind you I wasn’t too confident with their relationship to begin with, because yeah Adam was the only person she found that could touch her so to me I feel like that was a lot of what the relationship revolves around. Because she craves being touched for once in her life.

But Warner? Yeah sure she hated him in the first book but I mean he was pretty psycho so who can blame a girl? But then she finds out that Warner can also touch her. So I mean what’s a girl to do really. Now there’s 2 people in the whole world that can touch her. Do I understand her not knowing how to feel because she’s literally stuck in a “love triangle” right now. Absolutely I do.

Warner LISTENS to her. The conversations are deep and real.

Also the PLOT TWISTS ARE REAL. Holy smokes!

I’m so excited for the next book to see what comes next.
