This was a slow starter for me, but I am glad that I persisted with it. I found Mason a great character as was Brie but I disliked James completely. No matter what pressures you face at work having affair after affair is not the way to deal with things.
The connection between Mason and Brie was great and sometimes funny, like when Brie is caught staring at Mason outside the flower shop in her car. She was strong through and no matter what she may have felt about Mason she was determined to make her marriage work.
I liked that Mason was a family man, they were his top priority especially after what happened to his sister. He had a traumatic time dealing with that.
All in all I thought this was a good read, and wasn’t how I had expected it to pan out.
