What a debut! This is a true dark romance and some of the content made me take a quick breather but I dove right back in.
The plot involves a secret society with all the suspense you could want and an ominous organization
that lurks in the shadows. The MMCs (Devin and Tony) are super morally grey and perfectly complement each other, Devin being the yang to Tony's yin.
The spice and the kinks were like habanero hot, mmkay? The MMF romance was well written (um hello, Tony?!?!) I enjoyed the character development, particularly Lena's as she grows from an abusive relationship and the paranoia/trauma from it into a baddie willing to face down anyone and anything. There's a depth to the characters that keeps you invested.
Devin and Tony had me reconsidering my morals. Lena had me sitting on my couch, wishing I had two protective guys willing to take on the world to protect me.
The cliffhanger had me in tears of frustration because 1. Cliffhangers irritate my soul and 2. That means I have to wait for the next book *sigh* I can't wait to see what happens in book 2
