The Scent of Murder (A Veronica Shade Thriller)

They call him The Dollmaker. His victims are painted to look like dolls and are posed in lewd positions for everyone to see.

Two victims and counting.

Detective Veronica Shade doesn’t need her sixth sense to know that the killer has no designs of stopping. His twisted agenda requires more victims, more dolls.

But it’s not her case. And after what happened last time, all eyes are on her, making sure she does everything by the book. Breaking even the smallest rule might mean losing her job.

Or worse.

But with a killer on the loose, and a bear running rampage, how can Veronica just sit by and do nothing?

She can’t.

Once again, she turns to her special gift, her multi-modal synesthesia, to try and help her solve the case. But her condition has proven unreliable in the past, and Veronica soon begins to question whether it is more of a hinderance than a gift.

And going rogue has put her directly in the path of a budding serial killer, who’s dead set on turning Veronica Shade into his next doll.
