The Apartment Sitter: A Gripping Psychological Thriller (Twisted Secrets: A Psychological Thriller Collection)

Some identities are stolen. Others consume you.
Marin Hayes is a broke actress, desperate and out of options. When she’s offered $5,000 a month to apartment-sit a luxury Manhattan penthouse, she can’t say no.
The pay is absurd. The owner, Genevieve, whom she’s never met, seems too perfect to be real.
There’s only one catch. Obey the rules.
For six months, Marin lives in another woman’s world. Her bed. Her clothes. Crossing rules she was warned never to break.
At first, it’s just pretend. Until Genevieve’s friends mistake her for their absent friend and Marin doesn’t correct them. When the ex comes calling, she plays along.
Living as another is intoxicating. Being herself never felt this good.
Then the warnings arrive. Questions she can’t answer. And the woman whose life she’s borrowed might never have existed at all.
Now she can't tell what's real. And she can’t stop.
But if she doesn’t, there may be no one left to come back to.
