Years into a space mission, Leo awakens and begins his task of getting the ship ready before his crew mate Ryan wakes up. When the time finally arrives for Ryan to wake up, Leo is troubled. Something just isn’t right. The ship feels different. Ryan feels different. Then the knocking starts.
Jed Kent has a way of writing that pulls you in and keeps you in a chokehold until the end. The story flows at a breakneck speed and doesn’t ever slow down. You feel everything Leo does (whether you want to or not). The claustrophobic space pod, the empty void, and the lingering dread propel you through the story until you hit the insane ending that will have you rethinking everything you thought you knew. Jed won’t let you take anything for granted.
