I enjoyed listening to The Duchess of Sydney, it is a historical fiction book which isn’t a genre I often pick up; however, this kept my interest throughout.
Georgiana was a fantastic character; she was convicted of a crime that she hadn’t committed and put on a ship with other convicts to sail to Australia. Even with her protector it wasn’t “plain sailing”.
There were a few secrets and lies that were revealed during the book that was shocking, then I got annoyed at a certain point if only a certain one was revealed earlier.
This is the first in the series and I will continue with it, yes it was that good!
Abigail Langham was a brilliant narrator, she has an amazing voice, very soothing that draws you into the story until the end.
