I love my dogs, they are like my children and if something happened to me and my immediate family I feel happier if my dogs were taken care of in a way that I would like. If I Should Die Before My Dog is a brilliant book for writing down your wishes for your dog if something did happen to you.

It is basically an instruction manual for whoever takes care of your dog. It covers the basic things like name, age, d.o.b, nicknames that you might call your dog. For instance my dog is called Peppa but she is often called P or Peps. You can add whether you dog is a purebred or a cross-breed. Vet details including whether your dog likes to visit the vet or not. When it’s annual visit is, if it needs medication. If he/she has been spayed or neutered. Microchip number, what food it likes and generally care for the dog. If it goes to a grooming parlour for instance, my dogs are shih tzus and they go to the grooming parlour every 12 weeks for a haircut. You can add your grooming parlours details too.

There is so much to add to this book that I know for sure nothing has been left out. I know my dogs will be looked after if I go before them and I feel a lot better knowing there is an instruction manual for them.

If you have a dog then I would definitely recommend this book. Ok the chances are that you will outlive your dog but to be there is no harm in getting it and filling it in, just in case!
