There was a lot I liked about this book, but I felt a couple of things let it down. How the main character dealt with the dares as an adult, didn’t seem realistic and had me rolling my eyes a little. But, that aside, I was engaged enough in the story to enjoy it and I didn’t see the twist coming.
I listened to the audiobook and liked the narrator for the majority of the book. My only gripe though is the way she said ‘says.’ The pronunciation sounded out of place and because it jarred each time, it seemed like it was used far too many times.
I still give this book 4 stars because I loved the authors writing style and the unusual storyline. l will be checking out more from this author in the future.
