On NYE 1999, a Blockbuster video store in New Jersey is the scene of the murder of 3 teenagers. Only one teenager survives(Ella). The suspect is brought in for questioning but prematurely released and then disappears without a trace never to be seen again. Fifteen years later in the same town, an ice cream store is the scene of an eerily similar murder where teenagers are murdered and only one survives(Jesse).
The only survivor of the Blockbuster murder, Ella, and the only survivor of the ice cream murder, Jesse are drawn together when Ella is called in to help Jesse at the hospital after the attack. Then we are introduced to Christopher (Chris), the public defender who is the brother of the alleged Blockbuster murders. Woven into the story is FBI agent Sarah Keller who shows up in several of Alex Finlay’s books. All of these characters come together along with others to create a fascinating read full of interesting twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat and keep you reading into the night! One of his very best books! Very fast paced with delicious characters. A five * read for me!
