"DIY Exorcism" is a gripping read that dives deep into its intense premise. The concept itself is intriguing, and the way the story unfolds is mostly well-executed. I appreciated the twist at the end; while it added a layer of surprise, I did find it somewhat disappointing as I had anticipated a different turn of events. The story had a lot of potential, and I was left wanting a bit more in terms of development. Nonetheless, Washburn deserves praise for skillfully steering the plot without losing the reader's engagement. It's a solid effort, 3/5 ⭐.

A Chilling Tale of Desperation and Faith Tested
This book follows Dante Mitchell, a pastor struggling to balance his faith, community responsibilities, and fatherhood. When his son, Mason, begins to act out in disturbing ways, Dante's desperation pushes him to extremes, leading to a chilling confrontation with forces he believes to be evil.
The story masterfully weaves themes of faith, isolation, and mental breakdown, keeping readers hooked as Dante turns to the internet for help with his son's supposed possession. The tension is palpable, and the dynamic between father and son is both haunting and heart-wrenching.
A dark, atmospheric read that blurs the line between faith and madness—highly recommended!
