The Shadow of the Soul

Soviet forces have occupied the famine-ravaged village of Hermakivka. Viktor must guard those dearest to him against libertine Nazi spies-'stragglers'-who wreak death and destruction upon the innocent. Yet he must confront a greater terror: The Shadow-the malignant spirit that masks reality and threatens to govern his soul.
