I was assigned this author for #march2025adoptanauthor. I'd never read any of Dodds' work, but I was so thankful to have this assignment. I had already bought both of her books months ago, but like many on my TBR, it was waiting on me.

Right from the start, Fractured: The Stealth Stalker grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. The prologue throws readers into a pulse-pounding scene where an FBI special agent is kidnapped and tortured—an opening that sets the tone for the tension and suspense ahead. Years later, after stepping away from the field, she’s pulled back in to help track down the elusive Stealth Stalker, a case that demands both her expertise and resilience.

Dodds crafts a compelling mystery with a strong protagonist and an engaging investigative thread. The pacing keeps you invested, and the psychological aspects of the stalking element add an extra layer of unease. There are twists to keep readers on their toes, and left me dying to know who the killer is.

It was an enjoyable read that delivered solid suspense and an intriguing premise. Fans of FBI thrillers and cat-and-mouse chases will find plenty to appreciate here!
